Gavin Dudeney: Committee Member
has worked in the field of education for the past 14 years, as a teacher, materials developer, IT manager and web / user interface designer. His blend of pedagogical and technical skills has taken him around the world - primarily for the International House World Organisation, but also for the British Council and other entities - helping them to bridge the gap between their training and teaching portfolio and their technical needs.
He currently holds two posts: the first is as Head of the New Technologies Department at International House Barcelona, which includes the design and maintenance of their suite of websites, as well as teacher training in ICT both as part of their CELTA and DELTA courses and their programme of in-house training. His second post is as Lead Developer for the online training centre Net Languages - this work involves interface design, user testing, standardisation of learning objects (AICC and SCORM) and the management of a multi-cultural programming team of some 10 people.
He is the webmaster for a range of organisations including: The Language Key, IH Spain, Quantum Theatre, ACELE, Richmond Publishing, the IATEFL TTEdSIG... and has also published a book with Cambridge University Press: The Internet & The Language Classroom.
